Bethel Gospel Tabernacle is a historical church that has served the Metropolitan New York area for seventy-five years. Our founders, Bishop Roderick R. Caesar, Sr. and Rev. Gertrude Caesar left us a legacy of which we are proud.
Their son Roderick R. Caesar, Jr. our pastor and international bishop of the Bethel family, has blazed his own trail, keeping in line with the legacy set forth by his parents.
Bishop Roderick R. Caesar, Jr. continues to oversee, the Westbury Gospel Tabernacle, The Calvary Full Gospel Church, The Red Hook Gospel Tabernacle, Evangelique de Bethel, Haiti, missions work in Jamaica, Trinidad, Uganda and India, and the International Extension Bible School.

The importance of time is taken seriously by Caesar Jr., “One of the things that distinguishes Bethel very well is that we are time-conscious people. We begin on time and we end on time. We have structure and discipline when we worship.”
Caesar Sr.’s example of balanced & clear articulation, openness, generosity, & time awareness provided a moral soil for the development of his son. Other intangible traits that the son mentions when talking about his dad are authenticity, commitment, and priorities. “My father was very genuine in his ministry, thoroughly committed.” The father did not let the ministry eclipse his concern for his family.
